DELEGATE LEONARD TSOSIE
Additional $3 million for hiring of college students for summer employment. I heard a nice justification from mother who said that her son couldn’t come home during summer because there were no summer jobs.

DELEGATE DANNY SIMPSON
if we add Delegate Tsosie’s amendment for equal distribution of $3 million to 110 chapters, that will require 2/3 vote of Council and we only have 13 delegates.

NOTE: NAVAJO NATION APPROPRIATIONS ACT MANDATES THAT APPROPRIATIONS TO 110 CHAPTERS BE BASED ON 50-50 DISTRIBUTION FORMULA, WHICH IS 50 PERCENT OF ALLOCATION DIVIDED BY 110 AND 50 PERCENT DIVIDED BY REGISTERED VOTERS OF EACH CHAPTER.
