Navajo Nation Council Naabik’iyati Committee meeting today, July 13

The Navajo Nation Council Naabik’iyati Committee is meeting today, July 13, in the Council chambers in Window Rock, Ariz.

The Navajo Nation Council is convening their five-day summer session on Monday, July 18, at the Council chambers in Window Rock, Ariz.

The Council’s annual summer session horseback ride is scheduled to arrive at the tribal fairgrounds in Window Rock on Sunday. The riders will then ride to the Council chambers the morning of July 18.

An annual bicycle ride, the Fourth annual Riding in Siih Hasin, will also be arriving at the tribal fairgrounds on Sunday, July 17. The bicyclists, who started from the Twin Arrows Casino & Resort on on Monday, July 11, will also be riding to the Council chambers the morning of July 18.

As the Naabik’iyati Committee members are deliberating on the adoption of their agenda, committee members can add or delete items from their agenda before voting to adopt their agenda. Items can be added after the vote but that would require a super majority vote or a minimum of 16 “yes” votes.

The following bills will move to the Councilj’s proposed agenda after Naabik’iyati Committee action:  0183-16; 0185-16, and  0211-16. The Naabik’iyati Committee has final authority over 0173-16; 0189-16: 0200-16, and :0205-16.
