Navajo Council still debating LEGISLATION 0337-13: amending 2014 Navajo Government Budget with the addition of Conditions of Appropriations.

Click on PROPOSED NAVAJO COUNCIL AGENDA to see what the Council is and will be working on but remember that the Council added two new pieces of legislation to its agenda. I’ll get the amended Council agenda. And the new legislation that is added to Council agenda is placed at end of agenda. The

two legislative bills added to Council agenda are: LEGISLATION 0027-14: approving supplemental funding from Reserves for $90,000 for Lupton Chapter roof repair, $600,000 for Chichiltah Chapter renovation, $300,000 for Chilchinbeto Chapter renovation. Total $900,000. Delegate Charles Damon II asked for Legislation 0027-14 to be added to Council agenda. The other bill, LEGISLATION 0012-14 is for federal funding of erosion work along Little Colorado River. Delegate Walter Phelps asked for legislation 0027-14 to be added.

AMENDMENT 2 BY DELEGATE MEL BEGAY AND SECONDED BY DELEGATE KATHERINE BENALLY
Navajo Nation Division Director shall do all things possible not to have federal funds returned to federal government. And if that happens then the director shall lose all travel compensation.
