This legislation will allow fixing/replacement of water lines that froze and shattered. Give time to Ms. Whitehair.
ROSE WHITEHAIR, EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR FOR NAVAJO NATION: This legislation is for $2.8 million in federal emergency funds for disaster declared last year and have 19 chapters have done work and this reimbursement. NTUA will also be reimbursed.
DELEGATE WALTER PHELPS
The emergency past summer resulted in some chapters losing documents and so no reimbursements? How can we prevent that in coming emergencies.
MAIN MOTION VOTE CALLED BY NAIZE but Phelps interrupts and says he wants answer.
WHITEHAIR
WE had Operation Storm Surge impacting chapters from July to September and there was shortfall in documentation for reimbursements and there were large number of chapters and programs lacking documentation. We held workshops and we are posting documents on our website. New Mexico chapters can get cost damages to us for Operation Storm Surge from July to September.
DELEGATE PHELPS
Another concern is we had CHapter Summit and it was reported that Emergency Management Office had travel expenses cut. Police officers also had mileage cut. And those cuts are coming from President Shelly.
