Escalade development on Naabik’iyati agenda for June 22

The Navajo Nation Council Naabik’iyati Committee is meeting Thursday, June 22, at the Department of Dine’ Education auditorium in Window Rock, Ariz.,, starting at 10 a.m.

One of the bills on the PROPOSED NAABIK’IYATI COMMITTEE AGENDA is Legislation 0293-16. It’s been on the Naabik’iyati agenda before and its sponsor, Resources and Development Committee Vice Chairperson and Council Delegate Ben Bennett asked to have it removed because Escalade developers, who include former Navajo Nation President and Arizona state legislator Albert Hale, were unavailable.

Another legislation on the proposed Naabi agenda is LEGISLATION 0025-17: An Action Relating to Resources and Development and Naabik’íyáti’ Committees; Respectfully Requesting the United Nations to Conduct a Field Hearing Regarding the Impacts of Hydraulic Fracturing

The legislative sponsors of 0025-17 are Health, Education and Human Services Committee Chairperson and Council Delegate Jonathan L. Hale and Council Delegate Norman M. Begay.
