SPEAKER JOHNNY NAIZE announces that memo went out for everyone to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. He jokingly tells Delegates and staff that are not wearing pink to leave.

Navajo Hopi Land Commission actually got a quorum this morning. Thot no layoffs this year. That budget remained the same. Now after the fact, 2014 budget signed, we are seeing adverse cuts, scale back on operations in Legislative Branch.

If recall in budget deliberations, we did not raid Executive Branch. And when we returned, I leaned that Legislative Branch positions cut and services scaled back. So what is going on with money approved which is basically same as last year so wud think that same level of staff and services.

I want Office of Speaker to prepare report about how 2014 budget compare to 2013 budget. And if you are going to give staff bonuses that neds to be explained. Cuz this is our budget and we deserve the right to know what is going on in Legislative Branch.
