Greetings Relatives/Frens/Humans: I was reading proposed agenda of Budget & Finance and noticed that the B&F was going to review a proposal by B&F Chaiman Jamie Henio for a $3 million investment into a “Company.”
I immediately wondered why the “Company” was not identified, especially since $3 million of the Navajo Nation’s money would be invested into a manufacturing “Company.”
According to Henio’s proposed Legislation 0133-20 , the B&F would approve a $3M direct equity investment into “Company.” In other words, the B&F has sole approval over making the $3M investment.
And so i went to Navajo Nation Office of Legislative Services Public Reports, http://dibb.nnols.org/PublicReporting.aspx, and put in 0133-20 in Search. I quickly read through 0133-20 to locate name of “Company.” The “Compnay” was never identified by name…
I also found a June 12 resolution of the Navajo Nation Investment Committee, which stated that they supported the $3M investment for the “acquisition” or purchase of the “Company.”
