The Navajo Council convenes its annual five-day Spring Session at 10 a.m. today, April 19. And as part of Opening Day, the Council invites a Color Guard from among the numerous Navajo veterans organizations to post flags. A special guest or guests provide a flag song, and prayer. There are also other opening day events.

I have attached the Council’s Proposed Agenda, and after the Council votes to adopt its finalized agenda, I will post here. Under Council rules, the Council can amend its adopted agenda during the Spring session, but it will take a 2/3 vote of the Council, instead of a majority vote of the Council, to amend the Council’s adopted agenda.

I have also attached the following Four Reports: the Navajo Nation Judicial Branch Quarterly Report; the Navajo Nation Department of Justice; the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Navajo Area Indian Health Service.
