Council voted 11 in favor and 11 opposed on Legislation 0054-20 to appropriate $3M to Navajo Nation Emergency Management for it and chapters to address COVID-19. By Navajo law, 16 yes votes were needed to approve 0054-19 and so 0054-19 was not approved.

The Council is now on Legislation 0055-20 to allow Navjao Council and standing committees to meet through telecommunications methods, which removes mileage compensation.
