The Navajo Nation Council Naabik’iyati Committee amended its agenda for today’s meeting, Aug. 4, 2016.

The Naabik’iyati Committee added Legislatoin 0226-16, which is to recommend and request scientific studies and education on the environmental impacts from hydraulic fractureing.

The fracking study is sponsored by Resources and Community Development Committee member and Council Delegate Davis Filfred.

Also added to the agenda was Legislation 0245-16, whcih is the proposed $15.2 million 2017 budget for the Legislative Branch.  Navajo Nation Council lSpeaker LoRenzo Bates is sponsoring Legislation 0245-16.

Legislation 0220-16, whcih calls for a Referendum on the Regionalization of the 110 chapters into 24 Districts. Budget and Finance Committee member and Council Delegate Leonard Tsosie is sponsoring Legislation 0220-16.
