Greetings Relatives/Frens/Humans, Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren signed Navajo Council Resolution appropriating $3 million from the Navajo Nation Undesignated, Unreserved Fund Balance, or UUFB to replenish the emergency assistance budgets of each of the 110 chapters, or local Navajo governments across the Navajo Nation Friday, Jan. 27, 2023.

The Navajo Council approved the $3 million in emergency winter aid Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023.

Navajo Nation President Nygren also signed emergency legislation 0004-23, which the Navajo Council passed Thursday.

Emergency Legislation 0004-23 identified the priorities of the Navajo Nation for the support of the Utah legislature. Emergency Legislation 0004-23 also supported certain Utah legislation.
